The man behind the rise of African music in UK, Smade sadly shared news that he has lost his mum.
Underneath a poignant Instagram photo, Smade, real name Adesegun Adeosun Jr wrote: “On Sun 14th May 2022, will be known as the saddest day of my life, my life changed forever as I lost my first love, my baby, prayer warrior, my protector and my source of inspiration & motivation my mother. (Buried next day according to Muslim rites)”
“It breaks my heart as I share this news that my beautiful Queen, #MamaSMADE #MamaSMADE is gone to rest, my prayer warrior, my mother has gone to be with the Lord. Her final words were “Ya ALLAH”. A God fearing, hardworking and selfless mother.”
