News of the death of notable Nigerians in diaspora leader, Chief Dr Otunba Oladapo Oshun-Williams shocked Nigerians far and wide across the globe.
Tributes poured in for the man described as kindhearted, after he died aged 60 of cardiac arrest.
How he died, including problems that lead to and may have contributed to his demise has been revealed by one of his close friends and supporter, Prophet M.K.O Tibetan of Celestial Church of Christ.
Prophet Marcus and Dr Dapo were good friends such that they were planning Dapo’s exit from UK to begin his political career as a minister with easy backing from Nigeria’s President Muhammad Buhari and his Chief of Staff Ibrahim Agboola Gambari.
They had already pushed the papers required for ministerial-ship, it was now just a question of approval, with the aim of flying out to Nigeria as soon as the Covid 19 pandemic lessened or international travel resumed.
Sadly, by Monday 4th of August, DW as he was fondly known had died in one of the properties he managed – before any of those plans could become frutiful.
The Prophet opened up that he had foresaw the troubles coming for DW.
At the height of Covid-19, DW lost his in-law in the UK, his wife’s mother. He was advised to return her body back to her state, Edo State, Nigeria for burial after the Covid pandemic but Dr Dapo, complained of how long the lockdown might go on for.
The Prophet encouraged him to be patient that at least by October, international flights will resume and he can take his wealthy mother-in-law back to Nigeria.
The advise was supposedly ignored and Mr Dapo along with wife, Tina, went ahead to bury mama in the UK.
It is where all of DW’s troubles truly began, according to Prophet M.K.O Tibetan.
With mama’s burial out the way, he began having issues with UK authorities regarding his Petroleum Forecourt products, as a result, his license was withdrawn. On top of this, he was having equity issues relating to his houses.
Some days before his body was discovered, Tina had reported the qualified Architect and chartered surveyor missing to the Police having being unable to find him for 24 hours.
UK Police chose to wait 48 hours after the missing persons report since his car was present in his office. Monday 4th August he was found dead in one of his properties.
RIP Otunba Dr Oladapo Oshun-Williams.
He is survived by his wife Tina, a son, 2 daughters and a grandson
