Though the Topshop bags are made of different material and about a quarter of the original size, the real ones cost around £2 in markets.

The term ‘Ghana Must Go’ was coined in 1983 after the Federal Republic of Nigeria enacted an expulsion order that all illegal immigrants in Nigeria must leave. Many of these migrants – but not all – were Ghanaian who hurriedly packed their belonging in a red and blue stripe bag to quickly leave the country.
