I was at Burgess park with the children, thinking of how I am going to fund and complete my ILR application when a flat across the road began blasting Mansa by the Ghanaian musician Bisa Kdei.
I do not understand the language, but the tune with the line ‘a,a,a,a’ – a very understandable word – made me start dancing and forget my worries for the minute.
It is the same guy that sang Brother Brother and starts off like kukere, the song they played after it.
I also heard another music that I cannot get enough of – Telemo by Gasmilla ft Capasta – that rap!
It blended really well with the Nigerian songs being played including my favourites Phyno’s ‘Connect’ and Olamide’s ‘Bobo’.
